Lamar Dewberry is a native of Griffin, Georgia. He graduated from Spalding High School. Lamar Dewberry is currently furthering his education at Luther Rice College & Seminary. He is happily married to Lady, Jessica Dewberry. They reside in Zebulon, Georgia.

At an early age, he discovered his love for Christ. He accepted his calling to the ministry at fifteen years old. He has been passionate about sharing the Word of God to help people live a more abundant life with Christ. Upon his own discovery of listening and obeying to the voice of God. He devoted his time to maturing and growing spiritually so that he could walk with the full armor of God. This led him to becoming the appointed Senior Pastor of New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

“Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15). Living by this scripture that he holds dear to heart, he aims to joyfully teach and inspire God’s word while allowing God to guide his footsteps. His mission is to create a faith-filled community welcoming everyone to embrace God, gain knowledge and build a personal relationship with Christ. He has spent much time working with youth and has set a mission to teach young people that they can be young, saved and happy.
